Whose Fault: Legal or Scientific Community?

The interpretation of evidence appears to be a point of conflict between these two groups. What is the balance between scientific and legal responsibility?

The 2016 Obama Administration report failed to address crime scene management from a scientific standpoint, and the scientists were singled out for blame. The report  demonstrated that they were uninterested in enhancing forensic science outcomes both outside and within the courts and our justice system. Claude Roux, Distinguished Professor of Forensic Science, claims that the legal community has a poor understanding of forensic evidence and is unsure how the criminal justice system will manage with our quickly expanding digital culture if they are having difficulty working with physical evidence.

It is evident that there is a challenge with communication and collaboration between the two fields, which is one of the grounds for forensic evidence's unreliability.
